Where it's Christmas, or Christmas is a major theme
Summary:
Steve is excited for his Christmas vacation with his friends. It's his first vacation in years and it's three whole weeks away at an amazing ski resort. Sure, he can't actually ski, but that's why Tony's hired them an instructor. An instructor who just happens to be absolutely gorgeous as well as kind. But there's no point having a crush, Steve reminds himself. They're only there for three weeks...
-----
Steve had thought it looked beautiful in pictures, but they have nothing on the real thing. He takes a deep breath, filling his lungs with the icy air, waking him up after their long flight, and he looks up at the mountains. The very mountains they’ll be spending time on, learning to ski and probably making snowmen and having snowball fights on. Even in the dark, the snow sparkles. And the main resort cabin a few feet away is incredible too, like a picture perfect Christmas card, made of wood and stone, snow gathered perfectly on the rooftop and edges, twinkly lights wrapped around the exterior windows, lighting it up. It’s magical. It looks like it’s come straight out of a Christmas movie.
Summary:
Christmas is here, and with it comes the long awaited return of Omega Bucky's twin sister, Becca. She's exactly what he needs in order to survive the holiday family madness that he just sometimes can't handle all by himself. That is, until he finds out her squad Captain is accompanying her home for the celebrations
--
a Captain named Steve who happens to be incredibly hot, an unmated Alpha, and somehow manages to rock Bucky's entire goddamn world.
Summary:
When Steve is awoken in the early hours of Christmas morning by his drunk roommate trying to literally climb into his stocking, he doesn't know what to think. After all, just because Bucky happens to be the only thing he's ever really wanted for Christmas, doesn't mean that this year his wish is finally going to come true, no matter what his friend's intoxicated ramblings might suggest...
Summary:
A dreaded trip to the mall on Black Friday weekend with Becca and her daughter turns out to be one of the best days of Bucky's life.
Summary:
Bucky had been seeing Steve for about six months. They’d texted a little and hooked up a lot. But when Bucky messaged Steve with an unhappy face and a sneezing emoji that morning, complaining about a cold that threatened to keep him bed-ridden all day, the last thing he expected was to find Steve on his doorstep barely an hour later.
=
A fic about Alpine that turned into a Commander Rogers x disaster Bucky Christmas fluffstravaganza. Somehow.
Summary:
When Steve Rogers is roped into playing Santa Claus for the Stark Industries charity markets, he thought his day would be full of kids, snot and demands for expensive toys. He’d not expected to meet a charming young lady named Avery, whose uncle just might be the most handsome man on the planet. If only Steve could let him know he wasn’t really a big, old, bearded man without ruining the magic for all of the children lined up waiting to sit on his knee.
But could a Christmas wish from a small child change the trajectory of his future?
Steve sure hoped so.
Summary:
Bucky lives next door to Steve, but they've never met. When the holidays come around, Steve reaches out.
Summary:
Steve and Bucky meet on the way home to New York. Neither really wants to leave the other when the plane has landed. Neither really has any Christmas plans except for being raging workaholics. And, neither really wants to start the conversation about why that is when there's so many more exciting things to get up to together.
Summary:
“So where’s Steve?” Natasha nosied around Bucky’s kitchen as she helped herself to a glass of eggnog.
“I didn’t invite him.”
“Didn’t want us to scare off your new boyfriend?” she teased.
“He’s not my boyfriend.”
━━━━━━ ❆ ━━━━━━
Bucky and Steve have been almost dating all through December, but it's not until an unplanned trip to the ER brings them together on Christmas Eve that things become official.
A fluffy 'getting together at christmas' fic written for the ko'mmunity Winter Exchange 2022.
Summary:
When his sister and parents make alternative plans for Christmas, Bucky decides to spend a few days at a ski lodge in the Berkshires instead of staying home in Brooklyn alone. A chance meeting with a gorgeous stranger, canceled flights, and a blizzard shouldn’t necessarily be the perfect ingredients for a wonderful holiday, but maybe Christmas is a little magic this year. Or maybe it’s just spending time with Steve in the fresh mountain air that makes Bucky feel like he’s floating on a cloud.
Summary:
“I have something for you.”
“Oh? What is it?”
“A surprise when we get home.”
Steve observed him, and his lips curved in amusement. “Is it something under your clothes?”
Bucky widened his eyes and opened his mouth in feigned outrage. “It was supposed to be a surprise!”
Summary:
Becca conveyed the message. There was laughter in the background. “So, what can I do for you?”
“I’m pretty sure he has the flu,” he said. “Normally, I’d make my ma’s chicken noodle, but I know how much he looks forward to Hanukkah and the food, and no matter how hard I try, he always kicks me out of the kitchen—”
“Just say you have no idea what you’re doing when it comes to Jewish cuisine,” Becca said.
“I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to Jewish cuisine.”
Or, Bucky gets the flu over Hanukkah and Steve, with the help of his sister-in-law, makes him food for the Holiday
Summary:
“ Fuck,” he proclaims out loud.
A pigeon on the sidewalk across the street flutters away.
Another voice cuts through the cold. “You okay?”
Bucky looks up to see a silhouette on the fire escape two floors above him. Clearly, he had been swearing louder than he intended to.
The figure is clearly male, and built like a fucking brick house, but the light behind him makes any other features vague and indistinguishable.
“Uh, yeah,” Bucky says dumbly. “I just- I forgot my keys.”
“I’ll let you in.”
The silhouette disappears from view.
Bucky steps forward to retrieve his groceries from the steps of the building, and has just picked up the last can of cat food when the door opens. He looks up to meet the man who saved him from hypothermia.
And what a man it is.
Summary:
“I miss you when you’re over there. Sorry it’s been so busy this fall,” he said, earnest in the way only Steve Rogers, the world’s prickliest person, could be.
He held out the full mug of coffee and Bucky hurried to take it and inhale a tongue-scalding sip before he could do something very stupid like ruffle his hair or kiss his forehead.
It was infuriating, really. Aim any sort of affection and care at Steve and he turned into the human equivalent of a cactus. But then he’d switch it back around at you and you were supposed to just take it and not want to kiss that soft smile off his lips.
Bucky sucked on his burned tongue.
Fucking unfair, was what it was.
Bucky has been back in Brooklyn for four months, sleeping on his best friend's couch while interning at his dream job. It should be great.
Except for how sharing a space with Steve means seeing him every day and touching him and always, always trying not to look at him too much or touch him for too long.
Summary:
Steve Rogers lies to his friends, telling them he has Christmas plans. He doesn't. Unless sitting home alone, staring at his sad little Christmas tree decorated with his Ma's beloved ornaments and missing Bucky counts. There's one present under the tree. It's been there for the past three Christmases, since Steve found out Bucky is alive and began searching for him. Maybe the little tree will be a candle in the window, leading Bucky home.
Maybe Christmas miracles really do happen.
Summary:
When it comes down to it, Steve will do anything for Bucky. Even if that involves fulfilling a very specific seasonally-adjacent fantasy.
Summary:
Bucky loves Christmas, always has. Steve, however, his friend and fellow medical resident, struggles a little more during the holidays, especially now he doesn't have any family left. Bucky does his best to try to cheer him up a little and make sure that Steve will feel some of the holiday cheer. Thing is though, they're not just friends or colleagues. They've been hooking up for months, almost a year, and Bucky isn't sure how he's going to keep his feelings to himself for much longer. Because to him, this thing they have stopped being something casual a long time ago.
With thanks to the wonderful liloau for beta reading this fic 💖
Summary:
Steve Rogers is a good man. His friends have told him so on numerous occasions, but this might actually be more bordering on "stupid" rather than "kind".
Because what else would you describe the act of inviting a complete stranger - and thief - into your home over the Holidays?Steve isn't quite sure what to call it himself, but fact is that when it comes to the case of Bucky Barnes, Steve's actually pretty okay with being referred to as an idiot, as long as it keep the other man safe.
And to Steve's defence, it had all started out with such good intentions...
Summary: A couple of confused baristas, two cat adoptions and a cuddle pile later, Bucky has a perfect Christmas.
Summary:
It really is an accident. Steve wouldn’t even call it a slip of the tongue, because what he said and the way it was heard were two different things.
Summary:
Steve’s alone at Christmas but an unusual invitation presents itself and turns his holidays into something else entirely.
Summary:
Steve Rogers loves his best friend, Bucky Barnes. No, okay, like, really loves him. Pined for a year - the whole of their friendship, actually - and it's been totally one-sided.Or maybe not so one-sided. If the most awkward ask to end all asks is anything to go by. Too bad Bucky's weird behavior doesn't improve when the big Holiday Date Night finally rolls around. But, see, there's a reason for that. Too bad Bucky won't clue him in there, either.
