Sarah decides to tell Daisy the story of the house. She tells Daisy of the couple who built it and everything they went through. ~~*~~ "It was the last week of October, 1941. The Second World War was raging on in Europe but America was still trying to stay out of it. My Alpha Father, Steve, worked for the St. Louis Golfing Club..."
Summary: Bucky's part of a prestigious teacher education program, but he's not doing very well. The headmaster, Nick Fury, decides he needs a summer job as an au pair to decide if teaching is really what he wants. Bucky goes to live with Captain Steve Rogers and his brood of children. (Sound of Music AU)
Summary: After Steve gets outed by a grainy cell phone picture, it takes the media less than 24 hours to discover Captain America’s secret relationship with James Barnes: classical musician, teen heartthrob, and son of a former president. The only problem? Steve has never met James Barnes in his life.
*Abandoned
Summary: “Steve Rogers. I haven’t thought about him in…God, at least ten years. Probably longer." “Who is he?” Sharon asks, and perches on the corner of his desk, hands folded in her lap. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Bucky clears his throat, tosses the sticky note onto the desk. “Steve was…my college boyfriend. We almost got married.” It's been fifteen years since Bucky Barnes left Steve Rogers standing in a New York airport and never saw him again. Those fifteen years have brought him wealth and stability; everything his lower middle class Brooklyn upbringing had not provided. He is happy. He doesn't want for anything. He doesn't need anything. That's about to change.
Summary: After finding a magazine on the subway that says that omegas who have more than 20 sexual partners have a 4% chance of getting married, Bucky becomes determined to find out if one of his exes was secretly The One. There's definitely, absolutely zero chance he'll fall in love with the hot alpha who lives across the hall. A Marvel/What's Your Number AU.
Summary: Steve Rogers has convinced himself that even if he thinks Tony Stark bringing back Jurassic Park (third time's a charm?!) is a dumb idea, he's gonna be there to make sure those animals are treated right. Even if the stupid-hot, no, stupid, raptor trainer, Bucky Barnes drives him crazy. With his dumb hair. And his dumb laugh. The point is that Steve is on Isla Nublar to do an important job. Even as everything goes wrong around them (told ya, Tony!).
Summary: “What I’m driving at,” Steve says, tightening his grip on Bucky’s hand the same time he presses into his shoulder, giving him something solid to lean against, “is that those aren’t my favorite memories of you.” That gets Bucky’s mask to crack a little, curiosity bleeding through the fracture lines. “Really? ‘Cause I seem to recall you’ve got a strange fondness for that one time I let Becca mess with my hair and she stuck about a hundred different ribbons and bows in it. You drew it, just so you wouldn’t ever forget the look on my face when I caught sight of myself in a mirror.” Steve snorts, very much ignoring the daggers Bucky glares at him for the response. It is a good memory, his or not, and he’s almost sad that that particular drawing didn’t make it into the exhibit. But, no, that’s not his favorite, not by a longshot. “First time I kissed you,” is all he says, eager to watch the play of emotions over Bucky’s face as he processes that. Because the first time they kissed? Happened right here in the museum.
Summary: Traveling around the system, taking jobs where they can—some legal, some not so legal—Captain Steve Rogers and the crew of the cargo vessel Avenger are doing alright, save for the occasional checks from the feds. But when a ghost from Steve’s past finds his way on board, life is about to get a lot more complicated.
Summary: Steve Rogers has it all: He’s the hottest new artist in town, he’s dating the most eligible bachelorette of New York City, and he just got the proposal of his dreams. The problem? Steve already has a husband, and travelling home to finally divorce Bucky Barnes proves to be far more of a trip down memory lane than Steve expected.
Summary: When Steve leaves a letter for the new resident at the lake house he stayed at for the summer, he doesn't expect to get a letter back, or such puzzling exchange that'll make him ask- Is this fate? Or is this just an expertly crafted practical joke?
Summary: “I like it,” Carol snaps her fingers and points in Bucky’s direction. “Let’s give it a deadline. How long do you think you’ll need to get someone to break up with you, Barnes? 10 days?” This actually sounds kind of fun. It’s been a while since Bucky has felt this kind of excitement towards any of his work assignments. “How to lose a guy in 10 days,” he says with a bit of wonder. “How to lose a guy in 10 days,” Carol agrees, sharing a wicked smile with him. “I won’t need all 10, though,” he tells her with certainty. “I’m sure I can scare him off way sooner than that.”
Summary: Steve Rogers walking through his door is always a challenge — something that always makes holding up his casually friendly bartender facade very difficult. It's harder tonight. The relief that floods Bucky at the sight of Steve's familiar features is so overwhelming that he has to ball his hands into fists and take a long breath to hide his less-than-calm emotions. "Captain Rogers," he says, trying his damndest to not search Steve for signs of injury. "Didn't know you were in town." "Just got in," Steve says. He grabs a seat, and Bucky keeps his eyes on the leather of Steve's jacket to avoid looking at his face (Or: Steve's a rebel pilot with a target on his back, Bucky runs a bar that's a hub for rebel activity, and the two of them have a long history. It's a Star Wars AU.)
Summary: Steve and Bucky are best friends. Always have been. Always will be. Around them, all their friends are falling in love, getting married, having children, living their best lives. Steve and Bucky are dancing around their feelings for each other. With wedding after wedding to attend, it might finally be time for Steve and Bucky to finally address their feelings for each other... A Four Weddings and a Funeral AU (as in there are four weddings and one funeral)
Summary: “Get any good shots?” Steve asked, a little nervously. Visitors were here to look at the animals, not to make awkward small talk with the staff. “One or two” the man said, hesitating for a moment before extending his camera towards Steve. “Want to see?”. Or: Jurassic World AU. When raptor trainer Steve meets amateur photographer Bucky, he’s immediately taken with him. The only problem? Bucky already had a boyfriend.
Summary: After years of a mass infertility crisis, the United States is overtaken by religious fanatics and the country becomes Gilead. Bucky Barnes finds himself thrust into a brutal world of survival. When he's discovered to be fertile, he's forced to serve as a vessel--a caste of omegas who bear children for the political elite. Completely based on Margaret Atwood's book and the Hulu series, The Handmaid's Tale
Summary: In the middle of the night off the coast on Marseilles a man is found floating in the water by a crew of fisherman. Unconscious, bleeding from several bullets in his back, with a metal arm, he has no clue who shot him and no memory of who he is.
Summary: Bucky is seven months pregnant when his god-awful boyfriend abandons him halfway through their road trip and leaves him stranded in a Walmart parking lot. Penniless, alone, and anxiously counting down the days until he gives birth, Bucky spends his nights sleeping inside the Walmart and his days reading sci-fi novels at the nearby public library. It's there that he meets Steve, a handsome alpha who's got a warm smile, a knack for drawing cartoons, and a very big secret. (Based on the film Where the Heart Is but you don't need to have seen it to understand this fic)
Summary:
“Any questions?”“Uh. What the fuck am I doing here?” Bucky offers.
