Where one or both are school teachers, college professors, professional tutors, etc

Summary: “Hey Steve, this is Jack Murphy, our other neighbor. Jack, this is Steve.” Steve looked at Sam a little wildly, expecting to see—he didn’t even know, but some reaction other than Sam’s usual easy friendliness. And there was something there, but it was just the twitch of Sam’s mouth that said he found something hilarious and he was trying not to show it. Was this Sam’s idea of a joke, or a prank? Because this guy—behind the glasses and mustache, Steve could have sworn—well, he looked like Bucky.

Summary: “Listen, I was just thinking,” Steve says, his face open, eyebrows raised in a tentatively hopeful expression. “Why don’t you come stay at my place for a while? I’ve got an office that I barely use, and a change of scenery might do you good, right? Help you beat that writer’s block?” With a crooked smile, he adds, “I promise I’m not a serial killer.” While Bucky would normally crack a joke about how that’s exactly what a serial killer would say, right now, all he can do is blink at Steve in surprise, heart tripping over itself in his chest. Steve wants him to come and stay at his place. In Massachusetts. Just the two of them. "Oh," Bucky croaks. "I- Wow." “I mean, no pressure,” Steve says hastily. “Totally fine if you don’t wanna. I just thought I’d offer, in case it might help, y’know?” “Yeah.” Bucky ignores the little voice in his head that sounds an awful lot Nat and Becca, telling him he’s setting himself up for heartbreak. “I mean, if you’re sure, that would be amazing.”

Summary: Steve's students don't believe him when he says he's dating international rockstar and heartthrob Bucky Barnes, but he is, and has been since they were sixteen. (A Captain America Reverse Big Bang 2017 collaboration between mambo and ellebeesknees.)

Summary: There are three well-known facts at Shield High: 1. The history teacher Mr. Barnes is a stone-cold terror, and it’s not even because he only has one arm. 2. The other history teacher, Mr. Rogers, is a mysterious enigma, and it’s something to do with the body of a Greek God and contradicting stories of his past. (They’re all rumours, anyway.) 3. Mr Barnes and Mr Rogers hate each other. Bucky wouldn’t have it any other way.

Summary: Steve narrowed his eyes. “I’m beginning to suspect I’ve been set up.” “I would never,” Natasha said, feigning shock. Steve sighed. “God fucking dammit,” he heard someone say and looked up. AKA An AU in which Steve is still Captain America and Bucky is the unfortunate history professor selected to help him understand those references.

Summary: Bucky is just trying to do some grocery shopping when he gets cornered by a little boy asking him questions about his relationship status and gender preference. He is then dragged to the next aisle where he meets the little boys father a blonde looking adonis. Bucky doesn't hate it.

Summary: Steve wishes Bucky wouldn’t look at him the way he does – a deliberate gaze, subtly digging his top teeth into that pouty bottom lip; following his every move like a lion watches a gazelle. It’s been going on for months, perhaps longer... Steve talks, and Bucky listens. Well, that’s the point – Bucky’s supposed to be listening. Steve’s just doing his job, after all… No harm in that. The problem is that it’s no innocent gesture, the way Bucky will have the top of his pen tracing the outline of his mouth... It’s also not innocent at all when Steve turns to look out at the sea of heads while he’s speaking and catches the quickest glimpse of the brunet sneaking a peek at his ass. And Bucky doesn’t even pretend to be bashful about it. He just meets Steve’s eyes and smirks – just the tiniest hint of a thing. Even bigger a problem than all that is how absolutely wrong it is. There are a million and one reasons why Bucky’s behavior is inappropriate, and why the way it makes Steve feel is even more inappropriate. For starters, Steve is Bucky’s teacher. Secondly, he’s only seventeen.

Summary: Steve is a fifth grade teacher. Bucky is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, whose son is in Steve's class. They meet at a parent-teacher conference. There's blood involved.

Summary: Bucky keeps finding himself in these situations and he's pretty sure it's all Tony's fault. His quiet life of working too much is completely disrupted when Tony sends Bucky to pick up Morgan from school. Who knew Kindergarten teachers were so hot?

Summary: Bucky Barnes jumps at the chance to take a job opportunity hours from home. He's expecting a fresh start and a decent salary jump. He's not expecting to run into his childhood best friend, Steve Rogers, on his first day. The years since they last talked have been hard ones for both of them, but falling back into their friendship is shockingly easy. Despite their time apart, December in this small town might bring them closer than ever. (Or, a holiday romcom in which Bucky reads to children, Steve teaches art, new friendships are made, difficult conversations are had, cookies are baked, way too much coffee is consumed, home is found in surprising places and, eventually, feelings are confessed.)

Summary: Steve Rogers is a teacher at a prestigious private academy in Southern California. He is surrounded by sunshine and warmth, but his world has grown cold and gray as he hides himself from the world to protect his shameful secrets. When his neighbor suddenly has a new guest, Steve is drawn to him immediately. The problem? He's a student. Bucky Barnes is the new kid in class, though he's no kid. At nineteen-years-old, he has lost more than most will lose in their entire lives. Recently moved to California to live with his uncle following the death of his parents, Bucky is trying to start over and move forward, but he can't get this young teacher out of his head.

Summary: Based on the Tumblr post that's like "half of college professors are like 'you can know nothing about me except my name' and the other half are like 'and that's why my wife left me! anyway what's up with y'all'" and the response "There were two professors like this in my department and I was one of like 20 people who was taught by both of them so there was a very small gang of us who knew that Professor Brick Wall and Professor Overshare were married with two kids." except in this it's high school teachers instead of college :) (https://thebaconsandwichofregret.tumblr.com/post/179960921170) I also hated high school and had one history teacher that made it bearable so am I projecting this onto fictional characters? maybe :) In which Bucky is Mr. Brick Wall and Steve is Mr. Overshare

Summary: History professor Bucky has a crush on the new Ethics professor, and the two of them start seeking every opportunity to flirt and tease each other, but neither is sure if the other wants something serious. Natasha and Clint take it upon themselves to 'help'. 60% Sass, 30% Fluff, and 10% Hot Grinding. ~ “Thank you,” Steve said, catching his eye as they picked up the last few pages and giving him a smile. Bucky felt like a six year old with a crush and grinned stupidly back at him. “I’m sorry to have made such a mess.” “I’m sorry that I’ve put all your pages back in the wrong order.” “He’d be happy to help you arrange them properly,” Natasha piped up, still sitting in the peanut gallery and sipping coffee. “He just loves that kind of all-nighter.” Bucky was going to swap out all the colors on her color-coded highlighters, he swore to god.

Summary: Like every university professor worldwide, Dr. Rogers of NYU is adapting to online classes during quarantine. It is during this time that Dr. Rogers' students discover their professor's stunningly beautiful husband and other key aspects of his private life that is usually kept locked tight.

Summary: "Well, thank you for being a good sport about it," she says, looking at Alena over her shoulder. "She's decided she was right about you, you know." "Should I know what that means?" Steve asks, raising an eyebrow. "I imagine you'll find out soon enough," the woman says, laughing again. "I'm Natasha, by the way." "Steve," Steve says, holding out a hand to shake hers. "I know," she says, still looking amused. (or: Steve teaches art to kids. He's used to his students not always being focused on art, and he's used to them being very curious about him. He's not at all used to them trying to set him up with their adult family members, but he can't complain about it. Not when the family member he's been set up with walks through his classroom door and is the most beautiful man Steve has ever seen.)

Summary: “I’m not angry,” Steve clarifies. “Sure you ain’t, kid.” “Don’t call me that.” Steve’s frowning, brows furrowed and mouth tight, and Jesus fucking Christ, Bucky is the teacher here. He should be the one pulling a disappointed face that could make grown men cry. There’s a brief stalemate, but Steve’s the one who gives in, face softening into an expression that hurts more than the disappointment. “I meant it,” he says, reaching for Bucky, and Bucky should flinch away but doesn’t. Steve’s fingertips trail down the side of his face, whisper-soft and reverent. “I just missed you.” “You shouldn’t,” Bucky says just as quietly. “There’re other people, Steve. People your age. Think I don’t see the kids making eyes at you?” “You jealous?” Steve asks, and it’s clearly a joke, but Bucky doesn’t much feel like smiling. Maybe Steve takes that the wrong way because he says, “You don’t gotta be. I’ve only got eyes for you.” - Bucky hasn’t been sixteen and stupid in a long, long time, but sometimes, Steve makes him wish he was.

Summary: After a disastrous break up with Brock, Steve is looking to drown his feelings at a bar. Instead, he finds a rakish stranger and decides to take him home. It’s a no-strings-attached, one-night stand, a way to forget all the shitty things Brock made him feel. The stranger is leaving the country anyway, so Steve may as well take advantage of the opportunity for anonymous rebound sex. Steve’ll never see him again, right? A lot can change in three years.

Summary: When Steve Rogers inadvertently touches a relic in the course of a mission gone sideways during WWII, he’s catapulted seventy years into the future. Before he's even sure where he's ended up, his search for help puts him in contact with Bucky Barnes, a historian and college professor who has built a career around studying Captain America. With Bucky's help, Steve means to find out how exactly he ended up in 2017, and solve the bigger mystery of how to get home. There's just one problem. The closer they get to their goal, the less certain Steve is that he wants to go home.

Summary: Steve Rogers has always been a good guy and a soft touch where kids are concerned. So what's a guy like that to do when his childhood best friend turns up pregnant and terrified about what that means given that he's not even in a relationship with the Alpha concerned, not to mention the guy in question has a somewhat shady reputation? Clearly, the answer is to pretend the child is his, ignoring entirely the fact he's always had a soft spot for his best friend. Well, it just makes sense, doesn't it?
