Where Alpine is a main character, or incredibly important to the plot
Summary: Bucky was sitting at the counter, with Alpine snuggled up in the crook of his arm. The scene wasn’t unlike the way Steve had seen his mother hold newborn babies of the young parents in the borough when he was a child. Sarah Rogers often gave parents a brief respite or was on hand with some advice on how to treat a cough or the sniffles. Goodness knows she’d done it for Steve enough. Alpine, however, was a cat. A very spoiled and incredibly precious cat, but a cat nonetheless. So, while Steve wasn’t shocked to see Alpine being carried, he was mildly confused as to why Bucky had a plastic baby spoon and was feeding Alpine by hand.
Summary: Steve Rogers is many things. A loving son, a born fighter, a proud member of the LGBTQI+ community, and, if his friend Sam is to be believed, a stubborn ass. In addition, Steve is an artist. An actual, bona fide artist who barista’d his way through art school and has the overpriced, hard-earned degree to prove it. While he waits for his inevitable big break, Steve just has to suck it up and do some jobs on the side to be able to pay the rent on his two-bedroom Brooklyn apartment. Like, for instance, painting pet portraits. As fate would have it, fellow Brooklynite Bucky Barnes is looking to commission a portrait of himself and his beloved cat Alpine as a birthday gift for his sister Becca. Turns out Steve Rogers is just the man for the job...
Summary: He looked around again, hoping to see its owner. Because someone was definitely going to be missing this little kitten. He scratched under her chin to appraise the animal when his fingers found a small charm. Curious, he lifted her up and felt the object, a small heavy gold-looking crown. Steve ran his fingers over the emblem, and the tiny black beads on the front of the collar started to vibrate–he jerked his hand back, staring wide-eyed at the creature. “What the fuck….” Perhaps the noise of the festivities below scared her– Below. Steve walked to the edge of his balcony and looked down into the dark fenced patio. He swallowed and looked at the cat cuddling in his arms. “Please don’t be, please, anyone but him….” - Day in and day out, Steve is restless with his work and can’t catch a break in his personal life. Finally, on Halloween night, he takes a breather on his porch; he finds a little fur baby nesting in one of his pumpkins. But low and behold, only one person might be her owner. The hot neighbor downstairs stairs, who Steve has creeped on and has no idea Steve exists. Fucking perfect.
Summary: White Wolf goes on daylight maneuvers to retrieve something precious… * * * * * * * * He’d heard a ping on his cellphone, and his kimoyo vibrated on the desk. Opening the app, he saw the white color-coded dot traveling across the map, away from the house, at an unusual rate of speed. “What the Hell…?”
*This is NOT a Stucky fic, this is a Sarah Wilson/Bucky Barnes fic, but it's a fic that The Librarian asked for
Summary: When they get to Steve’s apartment, he pauses at the sight of a small bundle of slightly limp flowers lying in front of the door. He picks them up gently, running a finger across the petals. A bit limp, but still in good shape. A little water would no doubt fix them right up. Sam laughs, clearly delighted. “I think you’ve got a secret admirer.” Steve studies the flowers in his hand; they are pretty, but still. “I…don’t think that’s what this is…”
Summary: Bucky Barnes likes talking to his cat. Fortunately, she likes talking to him too.
Summary: One late afternoon in mid winter Steve is visited by Alpine. A window mishap, wet socks, and up close pining ensue.
Summary: “Soooo I might’ve gone a little overboard,” Steve admits, surveying the boxes strewn all over the living room and kitchen. Nat rolls her eyes at him, lips curling up in exasperation. “No, really?” she deadpans, going to open the closest box. It’s stuffed full of cat treats, one of pretty much every kind he could find. She spreads them all over the counter, sorting them by brand, then laughs. “Steve, you do know cats need to eat regular food, too?” - The one where they have kittens.
Summary: Bucky finds out what cat purrs mean.
Summary: Steve has always dreamed about adopting a pet. Every time he went home to an empty apartment, the idea of having an animal waiting for him seemed more and more appealing. When he finds an unfamiliar, white, cat on his bed after a particularly difficult mission, it seems like the stars have aligned in support of his pet ownership. What Steve doesn’t know is that his new cat already has an owner. — Or, how Steve almost steals Bucky’s cat, and maybe gets a boyfriend for the trouble.
Summary: Alpine Barnes watches her owner get ready for a date with a mysterious guy he's met on a dating app.
Summary: Objectively, losing the Bucharest safehouse and its contents was the least of Bucky’s problems. The balding agent he’d seen directing the raid was apparently affiliated with SHIELD, which was a shadowy government agency that made representatives from other shadowy government agencies suddenly remember urgent appointments when Bucky tried to bribe, threaten, and otherwise shake them down for information on what the hell SHIELD might want with a former brainwashed assassin. Dodging SHIELD should be his number one priority. Subjectively, he wanted his fucking cat back.
